Dr. Luo graduated from Peking University Health Science Center with a Doctorate of Medicine. After that, he conducted basic medical research in microbiology and immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and obtained a Doctorate of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology.
Sponsored by the tumor immunology research fund from the National Institutes of Health Cancer Institute, he then pursued the postdoctoral medical research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During this period, he published many seminal microbiology and immunology research articles in the field.
Dr. Luo completed his internal medicine residency training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital and earned Diploma in Internal Medicine. Later, funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health, he completed his allergy and immunology fellowship training at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center, and obtained Diploma in Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Luo presented his clinical research on food allergy conducted during the period at the 2013 annual meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and it was reported by multiple mainstream media in the world, including NBC News, Science Daily, Newsday, Science News, US News and World Report, and British Daily Mail.
Dr. Luo has been engaged in teaching and education in allergy and immunology fellowship training at the Division of Allergy and Immunology of Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Yong Luo was honored by the New York City Council for his long-term outstanding contributions to patients and the community.
Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine
Dr. Yingqiu Xia was admitted to Peking University Health Science Center with an honor as an exempt of the national college admission examination. She graduated with Doctorate of Medicine. Later, she conducted basic medical research on the mechanism of visual neuromodulation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and obtained Doctorate of Philosophy in Neuroscience. During this period, she published multiple groundbreaking research articles in the field. Based on these seminal findings, the research was awarded a long-term research grant from the National Institutes of Health Eye Institute.
Dr. Xia then completed her internal medicine residency training at Northwell Health and obtained Diploma in Internal Medicine. After that, she worked as a hospitalist in Department of Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center for many years. Dr. Xia has been actively engaged in teaching and education in internal medicine resident training.
Dr. Samira Mohsin graduated from Dow University of Health Sciences, one of the most renowned medical universities in Pakistan with Doctor of Medicine. After graduation, she finished one year of residency training at Civil Hospital Karachi under the supervision of the most experienced physicians in the country. Then she pursued her medical career in the USA and completed Internal Medicine residency at Northwell Health, New York and obtained her Diploma in Internal Medicine. During residency, she served as the Associate Chief Resident due to her profound medical knowledge and distinguished leadership skills. Dr. Mohsin worked as a hospitalist in Department of Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital since 2015. Dr. Mohsin has also been appointed as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at School of Medicine of Stony Brook University. She has been actively engaged in teaching and education in Internal Medicine residency training. Dr Mohsin is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.
Cathy Lau has over 8 years of hospital inpatient acute and critical care experience. She obtained her Bachelor degree in nursing from Hunter College in New York City. She started her nursing career at Northwell Health, specializing in medical surgical, critical care and respiratory care. She then obtained Master of Science and Diploma in Family Nurse Practitioner from Pace University in New York City. She is currently specialized in treatment of allergies, internal medicine diseases and long-term health management.
Yanyue (Ally) Zheng is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing, specializing in Family Practice with a subspecialty in Women’s Health. Ally began her academic journey at Stony Brook University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Emergency and Critical Care. She then obtained the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Stony Brook University School of Nursing. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Columbia University School of Nursing.
Her nursing career began at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she has gained extensive experience in Orthopedics, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Telemetry. She also worked as a school nurse and provided care for children who require acute management including acute injuries, asthma and food allergies, as well as promoted health education to school-aged children.
Currently, Ally specializes in care for various allergies and internal medicine conditions. She strives to help patients achieve optimal wellness through compassionate and comprehensive care. She is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Fuzhounese).
Ping Wang is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant who earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University. Her journey into medicine has been guided by a genuine passion for compassionate, evidence-based patient care and a lifelong commitment to learning. Throughout her clinical training, Ping had the privilege of caring for diverse patient populations across a broad range of specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Health, Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics, as well as Surgery with focused experiences in vascular, urological, and orthopedic procedures in various inpatient and outpatient practice settings. These experiences have strengthened her diagnostic acumen, procedural proficiency, and holistic approach to patient care.
Currently, Ping is specialized in the treatment of internal medicine conditions and long-term health management, where she emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and continuity of care to help individuals achieve and maintain their best health.
Ping is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and Fuzhounese), allowing her to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients from multiple cultural backgrounds. She takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships and ensuring that every patient feels heard, understood, and supported.
Shihan (Zoey) Zuo is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant specialized in treating allergic diseases. She earned her undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from St. John’s University. During her clinical rotations, she gained extensive hands-on experience in various specialties including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Surgery, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, and Dermatology. These rotations were completed at multiple hospital sites across New York City, providing her with the opportunity to engage with highly diverse patient population. As a healthcare provider who is fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), this experience significantly enhanced her understanding of cultural and linguistic barriers in healthcare.
Prior to her joining our team, Zoey has several years of extensive experience in gastroenterology, which broadened her clinical expertise on managing difficult food digestion related health conditions including food allergies. Zoey currently is specialized in diagnosing and managing a wide range of allergic conditions with a focus in food allergies. She recognizes the significant psychological and lifestyle impacts these disorders can have on our patients and approaches treatment with a comprehensive, whole-person perspective. Committed to patient education and compassionate care, Zoey strives to provide personalized, evidence-based treatment that empowers our patients to improve their quality of life.
